1. CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - INVOCATION
2. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Ordinance No. 2025-04 - Gila County Minor Land Division and Lot Line Adjustment Ordinance which repeals the previously adopted ordinance titled Minor Land Division Ordinance of the County of Gila. (Randy Pluimer)
3. REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS:
A. Information/Discussion/Action to approve the distribution of Secure Rural Schools and Communities Funds (Forest Fees) of Gila County's share of the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2026 Secure Rural Schools Act funds as authorized through section 24 of P.L. 114-10 for FFY 2025-2026 using the same percentage splits as last year: Roads (2.15%), Schools (77.93%), and Gila County Education Service Agency (19.92%). B. Information/Discussion/Action to ratify the Board of Supervisors' approval for the Sheriff's Office electronic submittal of a FY 2026 Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Control Grant Application to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission in the amount of $873,264.96 to renew grant funding that will be used for the salaries and benefits of the Sheriff's Office Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Task Force. C. Information/Discussion/Action to certify the collection amounts for the Superior Court ($772,852.95), Payson Regional Justice Court ($558,443.47), and Globe Regional Justice Court ($624,098.37) for FY 2023-2024. (Maryn Belling)
D. Information/Discussion/Action to approve Economic Development Agreement No. 02062025 with Pinal Mountain Foundation for Higher Education in the amount of $1,000 to assist in awarding scholarships to deserving students in Gila County, which the Board has determined to be for the benefit of the public. 4. CONSENT AGENDA ACTION ITEMS: (Any matter on the Consent Agenda will be removed from the Consent Agenda and discussed and voted upon as a regular agenda item upon the request of any member of the Board of Supervisors.)
A. Approval of revised Public Works Department Policy No. PWS-002 - Record of Survey, Minor Land Division, and Lot Line Adjustment Maps to make changes and additions to the verbiage; and to update the procedures.
B. Approval of Amendment No. 2 to Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) Contract No. 23-175-28 between the ADCRR and Gila County regarding the use of the Correctional Officer Training Academy to extend the term of the agreement from June 12, 2025, through June 11, 2026.
C. Approval to appoint the following Democratic Party Precinct Committeeman: Richard A. Likins - Star Valley Precinct.
D. Approval of finance reports/demands/transfers for the reporting period of February, 1, 2025, through February 28, 2025.
E. Acknowledgment of the report for the County Manager approved contracts under $50,000 for the month of February 2025.
5. CALL TO THE PUBLIC: A call to the public is held for public benefit to allow individuals to address the Board of Supervisors on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors. Board members may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda. Therefore, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute § 38-431.01(I), at the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the Board of Supervisors may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Board, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda for further discussion and decision at a future date.
